By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. 24HourWire is a news aggregation platform that collects, organizes, and displays headlines and brief summaries from publicly available news sources. The Service allows users to:
- View aggregated news content from multiple sources
- Compare coverage of stories across different outlets
- Filter content by political bias ratings
- Access direct links to original source articles
All content displayed is automatically deleted after 24 hours. We do not host full articles, images, or other copyrighted material.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
3.1 Our Content
The 24HourWire name, logo, website design, software, and original content are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without express written permission.
3.2 Third-Party Content
News headlines, summaries, and articles displayed on the Service are owned by their respective publishers. We display this content under the doctrine of fair use (17 U.S.C. § 107) for purposes of news aggregation, commentary, and comparison. All third-party content is clearly attributed to its source with direct links to the original publications.
3.3 Your Use License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Scrape or crawl: Use automated systems, robots, spiders, or scrapers to access, extract, or copy content from the Service without authorization
- Overload systems: Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any aggregated content. News content reflects the views and biases of the original sources and does not represent our opinions.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater
- We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party news sources linked from our Service
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on any information obtained through the Service
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 24HourWire, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of and access to the Service
- Your violation of any term of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party right, including copyright, trademark, or privacy right
- Any claim that your use of the Service caused damage to a third party
8. DMCA Compliance & Copyright Infringement
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

If you believe that material available on our Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent containing:

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between you and 24HourWire shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Fair Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 24HourWire regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, whether written or oral.
14. Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. No waiver of any term will be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term.
